about
It’s a song about understanding that one must surrender themself to one’s life before the ability of truly bringing someone in and feeling good around them too. I guess you can still really love someone even if you're a bit rocky with yourself, as long as there’s self reflection and the willingness to get to know yourself alongside them/the relationship. It's also a coming of age song I've envisioned people listening to in the car, windows down and hands playing with the wind like in every indie love film ever.

LYRICS:
I’m in the countryside on my old bike
I’m in the countryside soaking up the sunlight
I wanna tell you how i feel but i’m nervous (nervous)
Loosen up the shoulders
Grease on the elbows
There’s too much tension
Learn to let it go
I wanna tell you how I feel but i’m nervous
Slowly i’m getting older
Slowly i’m getting kinder too
With my soul and my body
I need to trust myself before I can trust you
This is not a romance or infatuation
You can feel your spine when your hand is in mine
I wanna tell you how I feel but i’m nervous (nervous)
Each time we meet I leave with many questions
Thank you for the early morning conversation
I’m hard on my heart like a rock over a flower
The beauty wants to bloom but it needs more water
Slowly i’m getting older
Slowly i’m getting kinder too
With my soul and my body
Trust myself before I trust you
Slowly i’m getting older
Slowly i’m getting kinder too
With my soul and my body
Trust myself before I trust you
Slowly i’m getting older
Slowly i’m getting kinder too
With my soul and my body
Trust myself before I trust you
